Tai uma banda que sou fã de carteirinha, sou pra ter uma idéia o meu filho chama-se Jim Kerr, Já deu pra ter uma idéia o quanto sou fã banda né... Então vamos lá.
Após cancelar turnê na América Latina em 2009, a banda escocesa Simple Minds volta ao Brasil para shows em quatro capitais: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília e Porto Alegre. A turnê comemora os 30 anos de carreira da banda, que conta com a formação de Jim Kerr (vocais), Charlie Burchill (guitarras, teclados), Mel Gaynor (bateria) e Eddie Duffy (baixo).

Surgido nos anos 1980, o grupo fez seu primeiro sucesso em 1985 com a canção (Don't You) Forget About Me, que fez parte do filme Clube dos Cinco (The Breakfast Club), de John Hughes. O álbum mais recente do grupo é Graffiti Souls, de 2009, 16° da carreira.
