13 De Julho Dia Mundial do Rock!!!!
Porque 13 de julho? Foi no dia 13 de julho de 1985 que um cara chamado Bob Geldof, vocalista da banda Boomtown Rats, organizou aquele que foi sem dúvida o maior show de rock da Terra, o Live Aid - uma perfeita combinação de artistas lendários da história da pop music e do rock mundial. Além de contar com nomes de peso da música internacional, o Live Aid tinha um teor mais elevado, que era a tentativa nobre de conseguir fundos para que a miséria e a fome na África pudessem ser pelo menos minimizadas. Dois shows foram realizados, sendo um no lendário Wembley Stadium de Londres (Inglaterra) e outro no não menos lendário JFK Stadium na Filadélfia (EUA). Os shows traziam um elenco de megastars, como Paul McCartney, The Who, Elton John, Boomtown Rats, Adam Ant, Ultravox, Elvis Costello, Black Sabbath, Run DMC, Sting, Brian Adams, U2, Dire Straits, David Bowie, The Pretenders, The Who, Santana, Madona, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Duran Duran, Bob Dylan, Lionel Ritchie, Rolling Stones, Queen, The Cars, The Four Tops, Beach Boys, entre outros, alcançando uma audiência pela TV de cerca de 2 bilhões de telespectadores em todo o planeta, em cerca de 140 países.

Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder (1985)
Esse trabalho foi uma parceria entre Philip Oakey - a grande voz do techno-pop da banda Human League e Giorgio Moroder - o cara que passou os anos 80 escrevendo músicas de synth-pop e trilhas sonoras. O Human League é uma banda que surgiu na década de 70. Muitos dizem que foram "os melhores e mais consistentes de toda safra tecnopop do início dos anos 80", assim como Kraftwerk e Ultravox. Originalmente um grupo pós-punk de sintetizadores de Sheffield, Inglaterra, a sua composição tem-se alterado ao longo dos anos, sendo que o único membro original ainda na banda é o vocalista e compositor Phil Oakey.
Uma curiosidade: esse disco tem a participação de Joe Esposito, o cara que canta a música Lady, lady, lady do filme Flashdance. Aí em cima, como não poderia faltar, o antes e o depois do cara! (na sequência: 1985, 1987 e dias atuais)
